Windang Beach Tourist Park

This place has exceeded our expectations regarding cleanliness and convenience. We booked the 3 room cabin and were very excited to spend 5 days during the school break. Kitchen was fully equipped, laundry and dryer and iron all needed stuff were provided. The location is just fabulous , Windang beach on one side and Illawarra lake on the other. The beach was a skip and a hop from our cabin. Staff were very friendly and helpful, cleaners were very professional. All of us the kids and adults have enjoyed our stay at Windang holiday park. We'll definitely go again soon!

Loved the location, the tourist park was nice but pity you can’t pick your neighbors. We were on the camping ground and unfortunately the neighbor that was next to the camping ground was absolutely awful. Yes that’s right cabin 305 … not only were they yelling and swearing so loud that the whole park could hear them that they decided that flicking the cigarette butts onto the camping ground was there dumping ground. Do I want to go back - hell no! Pity it’s affected the outcome of our stay over the long weekend. This is meant to be a family park but when you hear the amount of “c” & “f” words being used in every sentence it becomes a bit of a joke. Our children were mortified. What topped it off was when they lit up a cigarette every few minutes they would flick the butt while it’s still smoking into the camping ground which was near our tent. The only other issue I had was the charcoal bbqs people decided to light up near the camping grounds when it was a high wind area - common sense failed these people . Surrounded by bush and and you have morons lighting charcoal bbqs which will easily start a fire or burn down our tents. Other than that great park!

Site: we had a drive through site and it was large and reasonably well kept. Staff: were fantastic through the two weeks. Location: 15 mins to Wollongong, 20 mins to Kiama and everything in between. It’s a great middle ground. It’s also on the river which is stunning and perfect for swimming. It was also within riding distance of 5 parks. Great for our 2 and 4 year old. Showers: these were ok. Sometimes temperature capped. Other times not.
